Here we are again.

I had a blog previously, and on a whim, I deleted it and never saved a backup of any of my articles. Luckily, I caught a glimpse of how 15 year old me wrote and expressed herself. And it saddens me to know that as I grew older, other things and people began taking up more of my time.

I had just completed my 10th Grade examinations and I began 11th and 12th Grade at a different school. A lot happened over those two years that kept me sufficiently occupied and away from writing stories for myself.

It's not as though I'm a literary genius or anything of that sort, but writing stories gave me immense personal satisfaction. Of course I always appreciated any of the feedback my friends, family and teachers gave me, whether negative or positive. But what I really learned was that my stories were my way of expressing myself, in a world where we try so hard to emulate others and where we're always competing and striving to be the best.

I want to be the best, but what I want more than that is to be happy. Simply because I don't think anything is worth it if you aren't happy. I want to write more stories and I want to be better than my 15 year old self. I want to achieve a bunch of things before this year end and I'm extremely determined to achieve them.

This blog post is a public reminder to me and everyone out there that we have to try harder and we HAVE  to achieve goals.

Dream big, but keep it real.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2016!
